A great place

I stayed a night after a week of backpacking, and it felt great just to unwind and relax. I was able to watch the blue moon rise across the mountains. What a great way to finish a perfect trip.

Awesome Mountain Retreat

My wife and I stayed at the cabin last weekend and had a fun relaxing time there. Even though the weather was a little rainy that evening, comfortably soaking in the hot tub with a spectacular view of the mountains was pretty awesome, and the experience pared well with some tasty selections we picked up at the Abbey Winery in Canon City. The hiking trails are in good condition and scenic, and the cabins are phenomenal. We will definitely return for future trips.

This place is an amazing place to visit. It’s a wonderful getaway from the business of life. The hot tub is in a prime spot for star gazing and catching sight of a shooting star, or perhaps a ufo.. you never know. The cabins are beautiful and cozy, the perfect spot to relax after a nice hike. And the best part is no clothes required!

A peaceful retreat from everything

My wife and I came down from Denver to watch the Perseids meteor shower away from the city lights last week. The nighttime sky was incredible and the light show was dramatic. Peaceful no internet or tv and several great trails some easy some a little harder. Great outdoor shower and hot tub as well. We had a very relaxing and almost perfect visit. The only bad part was we had to leave.

An Oasis in the Colorado Mountains

After a weekend at the Cabin at Copper Ridge, I feel refreshed and invigorated. With Diane’s artistic eye and Kevin’s talent with woodworking, the cabin itself is a work of art that can’t be duplicated.

The separate entrances into each of the two rooms in the cabin are smart design, but it doesn’t stop there. The bedrooms/kitchens are separated by a common bathroom and shower room, so the bedrooms do not share any walls. From the cabin, there is easy access to a variety of hiking trails and a large hot tub. The cabin also has an outdoor shower that I used after a hike.

If there was one takeaway from this weekend, I’d have to say that it was the beauty of the location. It is quiet, peaceful and secluded, yet close enough to the Front Range to make it an easy weekend trip. Thanks to Diane and Kevin for a unique experience…I’ll be back.

Starry Starry Naked Nights

My husband and I stayed at the Cabin at Copper Ridge; we heard about it from our meetup group in Denver. The drive through the canyon is a chance to shed the stress so your visit can restore your love of nature and peace. The cabin is private, modern and new (hand-made cabinets built by Kevin who is a professional cabin-maker); the bed is comfy. Hosts Kevin and Diane are friendly, lovely people; we felt very welcomed like we were home. After a day of hiking the trails (varies from easy on-up) the hot tub was a welcomed feature. And the night sky is so clear you think you can touch the stars. No TV or internet – so really un-wind! The refrigerator, microwave and slimline hot-plate (super cool) are available in the modern kitchen stocked with basic utensils you need to prepare your own meals. Make sure you bring in food, etc., that you need as stores are a bit of a drive. We’re members of Mt Air Ranch so we get plenty of alpine nude recreation, but there’s something special about the solitude. It feels like having 35 acres to yourself. Also, there are many nearby touristy things to do, if you want to tear yourself away from the therapeutic quiet of the Rocky Mountains at their best. Be sure to hydrate!
